If a combination of rugged Northumberland coastline appeals to you then this is the walk for you!  8 miles of beautiful woodlands, fields and meadows makes this circular route a great walk.Beginning and ending in the lovely setting of The Cottage Inn Craster. Rothbury Traditional Music Festival

2008 July 11h - 13th

This is a well-established Traditional Country Music Fair featuring pipes, fiddles, bodrun, guitars, folk singing, and dialect poetry. A full weekend of fantastic folk!

Brinkburn Priory Summer Music Festival

2008 early to mid July.

This takes the form of a Classical Music festival in and around this beautiful Priory with superb acoustics. The event normally takes place over two weekends in early to mid July, see their website for further information.

Edlingham Church Fair

Sunday the 27th of July 2008 from 12 noon

Craft and dance demonstrations, local art and history exhibitions, competitions fun dog show, childrens' quizzes, produce and other stalls, home made refreshments and a later BBQ  and evening folk concert in the church. .
Admission FREE with free access to the castle, BBQ- packs from local butcher from 4.30
Folk concert from 6.30- tickets £5- with Cramlington Touchwood and Friends.

Alnwick International Music Festival

2008 2nd August - 9th August.

Over 300 entertainers from around the world, a grand costumed event with dancers in traditional costume with traditional music. Evening concerts in the Playhouse, and dances each evening in the Northumberland Hall. Most events are centered around the Market place.

RNLI Craster Harbour Fete

16th August 2008 Saturday - 2pm

Craster is holding its annual RNLI Harbour Fete.  There will be fun for all the family including: stalls, refreshments, raffles, games, lifeboats and the famous canoe races.  RAF Boulmer's Search & Rescue Helicopter will also be flying in. Canoe teams can register for the canoe races at Craster Harbour on the day (canoes will be provided by Craster RNLI).  Event contact name is Hilary Punton Tel Number 01665 576411.

The Cheviots Challenge

Enter this 12 hour walking event which starts and finishes at Alwinton - in aid of the Northumberland National Park Search and Rescue Team.
