 Starfish Cottage situated in Low Hauxley is in an Area Of Outstanding Natural Beauty. This traditional fishermans cottage dates back to the 1850s and is within 100m of a lovely sandy beach. Low Hauxley Nature Reserve is within walking distance. Summer boat trips to the RSPB Reserves on Coquet Island are available from Amble, 2 miles. Water sports and kite flying with hire and tuition nearby.
Alnwick and the Heritage Coastline with its super beaches and castles is a short, scenic drive away. Shops and pubs one and a quarter miles (at Amble)
