Rock Mill Cottage: A most charming early 18th Century
Northumbrian rural retreat, which adjoins the owner's tranquil
farmhouse and garden in the scattered rural hamlet of Rock.
Just 2 miles inland from the beautiful Heritage Bays of Embleton
and Low Newton-by-the-Sea, Rock Mill Cottage was for generations
a traditional farm worker's cottage. In recent years it has
been sympathetically restored to provide both tasteful and
comfortable accommodation. Surrounded by spectacular wide
open countryside, its location is idyllic and peaceful - perfect
for that hard earned relaxing break. The market town of Alnwick
is just 6 miles to the south west, whilst Lindisfarne on Holy
Island lies proudly on to the horizon some 24 miles north.
With picture postcard beaches and seriously good real ale
pubs and restaurants in abundance (including the owners favourite,
'The Ship Inn' at Low Newton-by-the-Sea) Rock Mill Cottage
and its environs offer a truly superb country holiday paradise.
Sorry, no smokers or pets.
Croft Cottage: A beautiful, this time detached stone
barn conversion, once again just 2 miles inland from the beautiful
Heritage Bays of Embleton and Low Newton-by-the-Sea. Formerly
an early Georgian farm steading, Croft Cottage has in recent
times been both lovingly restored and modernised to an exceptionally
high standard. It offers a spacious open plan living area
with natural limestone flooring and original roof trusses.
The stylish kitchen boasts granite surfaces and six-burner
'Lacanche' range cooker, whilst the highly efficient Scandinavian
wood burning stove handsomely separates the dining and sitting
areas. With two good sized bedrooms and a luxurious bathroom,
this idyllic retreat is perfectly designed for relaxing amidst
awesomely beautiful surroundings. With Northumberland's Heritage
Coast and the historic Market Town of Alnwick all within easy
driving distance, Croft Cottage makes for a truly unique holiday
destination. Sorry, no smokers or pets.

Note: Rock Mill Cottage and Croft Cottage are adjacent to one another and together can accommodate up to 8 Adults. Both are accessed by a private country lane.
