Northumberland
has been described as the hidden Kingdom a great
description of this beautiful county, with its expansive sandy
beaches, and rugged cliffs creating a stunning coastline,
recognised as a heritage coast and an area
of outstanding beauty
The rolling hills of the Cheviots, and its many valleys, are
also within easy reach of the historic town of Alnwick.
Alnwick, with it's roots set firmly in mediaeval times, has
a multitude of paths, and alleyways criss crossing the town
centre. Dodds lane, one such thoroughfare is tucked just behind
the main street. Alnwick, with its imposing Castle, and magnificent
Garden, as well as a wide selection of shops, restaurants
and regular market, all within a few minutes walk make it
a very good place to base yourself for your holiday in Northumberland.
