A few minutes walk to fine countryside. ten minutes drive to the fantastic Northumberland coast.  Sleeps 6, 3 bedrooms, 2 day rooms, 2 woodburner stoves, 2 bathrooms, small garden.,
Baileygate House is located in Bailiffgate, a splendid tree-lined street in the medieval heart of Alnwick.  Walk 5 minutes south and you are in the centre of this historic county town, walk 3 minutes east and you at at the gates of the magnificant Alnwick Castle (of Harry Potter and Blackadder fame) and this leads on to the famous Alnwick Castle Gardens. Walk 5 minutes west or north and you are in woodland and pasture lands associated with the castle estate.

Baileygate House has room for 6 with ample luxuries to make a very comfortable holiday home.  The house was built in 1769 and has been restored in 2008/9 to reveal inglenook fireplaces and beamed roof, all to a luxury standard with a full complement of kitchen and bathroom facilities and two woodburning stoves in each of the day rooms. there is a small garden to rear in a courtyard of garden and yard space known historically as "nurses yard".

Ideal home for children with separate day room space, toys / games, small secure garden.  Sorry - no pets.

Splendid feature kitchen / dining room with original stone wall, inglenook fireplace and woodburning stove, washing machine, dishwasher, belfast sink, cooker / hob, fridge freezer and microwave.  Large expandable dining table with pew and 5 chairs.

Lounge with stone inglenook feature fireplace and woodburning stove. Futon, soft chairs and TV, DVD, HiFi, games and books.

We regret that the historic character of Baileygate House has made it difficult to provide for disabled access.  Toilets are upstairs and there are 2 steps to the street entry.
