Alnham Farm, The Lodge Cottage & Gatehouse.

Situated at the entrance to our farm in the Cheviot Foothills (in the National Park), 'Lodge Cottage' and 'The Gatehouse' offer exceptional accommodation,furnished to a high standard, and both enjoy a quiet scenic location from which to explore the secret delights of Northumberland.  The cottages are adjacent, and can be booked together to accommodate two families for up to 10 people.

The Lodge:

sleeps 5/6 (1 double, 1 twin, 1 single with folding bed). One step up into cottage - then all on one level. Bath with overhead shower. Well-equipped kitchen with dishwasher, electric cooker, fridge/freezer, microwave. Large sitting/dining room with open fire, TV (freeview), DVD/CD players.  All bedlinen/towels, fuel/heating, logs/coal included in rent. Cot/high chair available. Shared laundry facilities. Large enclosed garden with garden furniture/BBQ. Tennis court available.  Up to two pets welcome.

The Gatehouse: Sleeps 4 + Cot. 1 double, 1 twin.
There is one step up into cottage - then all on one level. Bath with overhead shower. Well-equipped kitchen with dishwasher, electric cooker, fridge/freezer, microwave.
Large sitting/dining room with open fire. TV (freeview), DVD/CD players. All bedlinen/towels, fuel/heating, logs/coal included in rent. Cot/high chair available. 
Shared laundry facilities.  Patio with furniture/BBQ and views to die for.  Tennis court available. Up to two Pets welcome.

Coming  from the SOUTH  on the A697
Take LEFT TURN to WHITTINGHAM at BRIDGE OF ALN HOTEL.
Go into WHITTINGAM, OVER BRIDGE and take LEFT TURN onto NETHERTON ROAD.
Continue along this road for approx two miles.
Take RIGHT TURN to LITTLE RYLE
Take FIRST LEFT to UNTHANK FARM.  Pass farm, keep going until you reach a ‘ T’ JUNCTION.
TURN LEFT, and the first cottage you come to is
‘THE GATEHOUSE’,  the next cottage is ‘THE LODGE’.

Coming from the NORTH on the A697
Just as you are about to enter POWBURN, TURN RIGHT to BRANTON.
In BRANTON, TURN LEFT and continue along that road passing GREAT RYLE FARM,  then PRENDWICK FARM.  Continue until you meet a ‘T’ JUNCTION.
TURN RIGHT, and the first cottage you come to is
‘THE GATEHOUSE’,  the next cottage is ‘THE LODGE’

Coming from the WEST - JUNCTION 43 on M6 onto A69 to NEWCASTLE.  TURN LEFT at GREENHEAD onto B6318 to CHOLLERFORD.  At CHOLLERFORD take LAST EXIT off ROUND ABOUT, OVER BRIDGE AND NEXT LEFT ONTO A6079.  CROSS A68  ONTO  B6342,  PASS KIRKHARLE.  AT NEXT JUNCTION, DOGLEG  over A696 signed ROTHBURY.  INTO ROTHBURY, OVER BRIDGE, TAKE LEFT at JUNCTION.  Continue out of village heading for THROPTON.  ENTER THROPTON, TURN RIGHT at CROSS KEYS PUB, take NEXT LEFT signed SNITTER.  Continue to NETHERTON, and at end of NETHERTON VILLAGE, TURN RIGHT.  Continue approx 2/3 mile.  Pass SCRAINWOOD FARM, dropping down into ALNHAM.  Pass Telephone Box  and two semi-detached cottages.  Next cottage is ‘THE LODGE’,  followed by  ‘THE GATEHOUSE’.
