| Harbour Lights, situated in the centre of the delightful fishing village of Craster, offers a warm welcome and comfortable accommodation with wonderful views of the coast and Dunstanburgh Castle.
Our bedrooms are furnished to a high standard and include flat-screen TVs with DVD/CD players and Freeview. Both rooms have modern ensuites with generously proportioned showers and under floor heating. There is private parking for guests.
Breakfast, served in our dining room overlooking the harbour, offers a wide choice using local, organic and free trade produce whenever possible. Start your meal with home made cereals, yogurt and fruit options, such as strawberries marinated in orange, lemon and mint. Enjoy a full English breakfast or why not try world famous Craster kippers or smoked salmon and scrambled egg. Our 'local', the Jolly Fisherman, offers excellent lunches and The Craster Restaurant, set in the old kipper smokehouse, serves delicious lunches and evening meals.
Harbour Lights offers the ideal location for visitors wishing to enjoy this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. A network of local footpaths provides enjoyable walks inland, for example to Howick Gardens, and along the coast, including the walk to Dunstanburgh Castle, widely regarded as one of the best coastal walks in the country. There is much to interest walkers, cyclists, birdwatchers, artists, photographers and anglers, with fishing trips leaving from the harbour. Dunstanburgh Castle golf course, skirting Embleton beach, is only three miles away by road or one and a half miles via the coastal path!
We are proud to add to our information that we have received a Local Food Gold Award for 2008-9.
