Castleview is a comfortable 18th century georgian townhouse adjacent to Alnwick castle which is situated on the river Aln, 5 minutes away from the centre of Alnwicks historic market town.

We have two double bedrooms one of which can easily become a family room.
,The Duchess Elizabeth room with a victorian brass bed, period furnishings, en suite,tv and dvd, tea and coffee making facilities and spectacular views over the castle walls.
, The Duke Hugh room has a sumptuous four poster bed,en suite, period furnishings, tv and dvd, tea and coffee making facilities and wonderful views overlooking the castle.

, Alnwick is an ideal base for exploring the beautiful Northumberland countryside and coastline where there are ancient castles galore and the magnificent Cheviot hills.
We can provide a good selection of maps, books and information about the surrounding area as well as cycle storage .

Full english breakfast using local fresh produce and home made bread. Vegetarian breakfasts also served. Special diets can also be catered for.

DIRECTIONS BY ROAD : From the South(A1) take the Alnwick exit A1068 for Alnwick town centre.After Approx. 1 1/2 miles pass thro the stone arch into the centre of town. After 200yds take the right-hand fork into Narrowgate and continue for 1/4 mile.The b&b is on your left at the top of Bailiffgate opposite Athey Antiques and the main entrance to the castle.

From the North take the Boulmer/Alnwick Garden exit. At the top of the slip road go right then 1st right(signposted to Eglingham).Follow this road for 1 mile to a small roundabout and take the first exit. This takes you downhill with stunning views over the castle. Cross the 'Lion Bridge' and go up a steep hill. Parking is on the cobbles on Bailiffgate.
