Mattie and Hazel offer a true Northumberland welcome at their
traditional fisherman's cottage overlooking the beautiful
heritage coast, in the working fishing village of Boulmer,
where smugglers once traded. Now a peaceful location, wonderful
Coastline, a birdwatcher and walker's paradise.
Our two double ground floor en-suite rooms are comfortably
furnished. A colour TV, hot drinks facilities, hairdryer,
clock radio and electric shaver point is provided in each
guestroom. Central heating throughout.
Log fires for cooler days and hearty breakfasts of local
produce ensure guest's return year after year.
For evening meals, the village pub 'The Fishing Boat Inn'
has been refurbished to a very high standard and provides
excellent food, with a wonderful view of the sea while you
dine.
Boulmer is situated 5 miles from Alnwick the Ducal town of
Northumberland. In the summer the town hosts a mediaeval fair
also an international music festival. .
