Alndyke is quietly situated on the edge of the market town of Alnwick, which its farmland wraps round East Side of Alnwick. We farm 400 acres of Arable land, growing crops of winter and spring barley, winter wheat and winter oil seed rape. The Grassland is for our pedigree Lincoln Red’s livestock. We can offer you a number of walks around our farm or to Alnwick. and Alnmouth.
The House is a beautiful Georgian grade 2 listed property, which have been turned into a high standard en-suite guest accommodation. The house stands separate from the farmyard offering you peace and quiet.
The bedrooms all have been tastefully decorated throughout with Sanderson, William Morris and Laura Ashley wallpapers and an excellent quality carpets throughout for under foot. All bedrooms are en-suite with the choice of bath or shower and include a luxury range of toiletries from The White Company. Again you have the choice of Super King; double or twin bedded rooms including pure cotton sheets, fluffy towels, and bathrobes. All laundry is done in house. Tea/coffee facilities with fresh milk on offer, Flat screen TV, radio alarm clock and hair dyers. An added extra with no charge is a view from every window.
Both dining and sitting room are south facing; Sitting room has a wood burner stove for colder nights to relax in with a good book and share in with a glass of brandy or whisky. Dining room has two windows allowing sun shire to shire through in the mornings and real fire.
We offer plenty of off road car parking and storage can be provided for bikes. I can arrange pick up and drop off from local bus station or railway station.
Alndyke is an excellent place to make base of your break. We are only a half-hour walk from central Alnwick when you can find lots to explore around with Alnwick castle, Alnwick Gardens, Barter Books, and Bailiffgate Museum. We have lots of little independent shops to buy something to take back home.
